The “FINDING VISION” 50th Anniversary Global Tour Exhibition marks the half-century milestone of VISION Street Wear. Launched sequentially in Los Angeles, Shanghai Zhangyuan and Tokyo, the retrospective systematically reviews the brand’s 50-year evolutionary journey. Originating from Southern California, VISION Street Wear has witnessed the integrated development of modern skateboarding, street visual design and streetwear culture. Housing more than 450 precious archival collections, the exhibition displays original 1970s design sketches, vintage skate decks, film manuscripts, classic posters, historical footage and retro apparel, comprehensively reproducing the origin and iteration of Southern California street culture and serving as a public art project for contemporary street trend tracing.

In terms of spatial styling and on-site production, the Shanghai venue integrates the century-old Shikumen architectural texture with American street trend aesthetics, creating a distinctive spatial collision between classic architecture and modern street culture. The indoor exhibition adopts minimalist immersive display with low-saturation tone and linear lighting, fully restoring vintage texture and systematically presenting brand historical documents and artistic evolution. A customized outdoor skate block equipped with 50th-anniversary professional props is built with modular sports facilities, ensuring professional sports safety and authentic street atmosphere. Adopting low-intervention construction technology, all detachable installations avoid damaging the historic buildings and realize the organic integration of trend scene and traditional architecture.

During the event, diversified offline experiences are launched, including Remake handmade workshops, retro arcade games, darkroom simulation, professional skateboarding competitions and street performances. Legendary professional skaters are invited for on-site exchanges, connecting cross-generational street creativity and covering professional skaters, trend players and young art audiences. Closely linked with marketing communication, the visual contrast between century-old architecture and hardcore skateboarding scenes, scarce 50-year archival materials and professional street events deliver outstanding social communication value, motivating trend bloggers and enthusiasts to generate massive UGC content. The offline immersive cultural experience consolidates the brand’s rebellious and free street spirit, while online viral topics connect vintage brand genes with youthful trend aesthetics. It forms a complete marketing closed loop of cultural display, user co-creation, community dissemination and brand rejuvenation. This project provides a valuable reference for classic international street IPs to hold anniversary curation campaigns and revitalize urban historic spaces with trendy culture.
