“What will you do when the sun shines on you?” For his first season at Louis Vuitton, Pharrell Williams looks to the sun as a universal source of life, inviting us all to reflect on the power of this radiance. In a desire to spread the light, particularly in grey, wintery January, Louis Vuitton transforms the Selfridges windows into a shimmering light source designed to illuminate Oxford Street with a warm glow. The Maison’s heritage Damier pattern is visualised as a radiating sun, emitting golden rays across the windows, wrapping the new collection with light and love. At the top corner window, a spinning, stylised sun created with signature monogram icons produces a scintillating disco-ball effect, inviting all into the “LVERS” state of mind, a culture of warmth, wellbeing and welcome-ness. We hope this brings Joy, Joy, Joy to your new year.
