In 2026, Songmont unveiled the "Mind Abides Nowhere" immersive brand exhibition at Shanghai's Bund Source, using a journey tracing Jinbei craftsmanship as its spiritual core to transform the Eastern philosophy of "unfettered by obsession, returning to fields and nature" into walkable spatial narratives. As a local bag brand deeply rooted in Eastern aesthetics and sustainable craft, this activation marked a strategic elevation from product design to cultural curation.
Spatially, an 8-meter outdoor tower of recycled textile waste layered like mountain ridges echoed the brand name "Pine Beneath the Mountain," with a ground engraving of "Mind Abides Nowhere" reinforcing the philosophical anchor. Indoors, five zones constructed an immersive Eastern aesthetic circulation: the Canyon Entrance employed waste-textile walls layered like book pages and Shanxi black stone flooring to evoke mountain stream light and shadow; the Tracing Series zone infused new-season bags with intangible heritage crafts including Tibetan pelt and Jinbei patchwork; the Layered Indigo zone presented blue-dyed patchwork curtains and tiger-head shoe elements, merging folk wisdom with contemporary design; the Earth Cinema screened "The Earth Has Its Reasons" documenting brand ambassador Zhang Jingyi's Central Plains field journey; while the Pine Rest Area framed Bund Source's red-brick architecture through floor-to-ceiling windows, cultivating urban natural sanctuary through minimalist relaxation.
