The Zhu Bingren "Fruit Party · Let's Party" pop-up art exhibition landed on Shanghai's Wukang Road on May 30, launching an urban dialogue between traditional copper art and trend aesthetics through the cross-boundary narrative of "intangible heritage molten copper × dopamine fruits."

Examining spatial narrative and formal language, the activation selected Wukang Road—a landmark of Shanghainese trend culture—constructing a three-story vertical circulation through courtyard, ground-floor gallery, and second-floor interactive zone. The courtyard established a macaron color-blocked street photography matrix through a 2-meter molten copper pear "Long Live the Pear" and giant inflatable fruit installations, transforming the traditionally heavy copper medium into a light "dopamine" visual symbol. The ground-floor gallery concentrated on unique molten copper fruit pieces including "Peaceful Apple" and "Mango of Joy," where 1200°C high-temperature molten copper and Geng color techniques endowed the copper with caramel-flowing and honey-congealing textures, subverting the stereotype that copper must be heavy. The second floor elevated artistic stature with the "Burning Sunflowers" series previously exhibited at the National Museum of China, while completing the loop from palace art to mass interaction through a fruit emotion check-in wall and limited-edition cultural creative products.

As the founder of molten copper art, the 82-year-old Zhu Bingren pioneered this technique in 2006; this 20th-anniversary special exhibition represents not merely a periodic summary of his artistic career, but signals Chinese intangible heritage copper art's strategic leap from museum halls to street trends, from craft transmission to contemporary lifestyle penetration—reconstructing the emotional bond between traditional handicraft and Gen-Z consumers through the soft posture of "making copper sweet."
