On the night the last fireworks bloomed over the Wanning coast, the Huya 2026 Yaogold Annual Festival drew to a close.

Most people picture an annual gala as a single awards night: the lights come up, streamers walk on stage, collect a trophy, pose for a photo, and the evening ends. This year Huya took a different route, stretching the ceremony into a three-day island holiday.

The Huya Yaogold FESTIVAL island carnival brought together four streamer teams: the 1995 family led by Xiao Xiao Xiao Ku Ge, the Jimeng 116 family led by Jimeng Huizhang, the Jimeng 18 family led by Jimeng Abu, and the 401 family led by Qian Xiaojia.

The festival ran for three days. Over the first two, the platform built a limited-edition "Yaole Park" on the island, where streamers took part in an island reality show in family teams: beach games and challenges, cooperation and rivalry between families, and holiday perks unlocked as they went. Yacht trips and island roaming followed, so competition, teamwork and unscripted moments together made up a holiday that belonged to the streamers. On day three, as the sun went down, a coastal red carpet opened and the Yaogold night moved into its crowning moment.

Glory is never a single flash. It lives in the small moments of family rivalry, in working side by side, and only then in the spotlight on the awards stage.

Two days of roaming: four camps head to head

"No trophy, but we saw the truest team spirit."

The festival opened on the wide beach of Wanning. Four teams gathered on the island and stepped out of their channels to meet offline at Yaole Park. There was no distance of a screen and little formality: once the cameras rolled, everyone moved straight into the outdoor games.

Boat challenges, a life-size claw machine, a swing ride and a singing game came one after another. To win more holiday perks for their teams, streamers switched between cooperation and head-to-head competition, trading banter and jokes, and the games gained a layer of genuine competitiveness.

More than a scheduled team-building exercise, Yaole Park felt like a festival playground built for streamers: friends picked up their usual banter, and people who barely knew each other were playing together within a few rounds. The games supplied the rules; the real relationships and reactions supplied the moments no one could plan.

And as wins were tied to a shared goal, team spirit switched on quickly. When someone fell during a challenge, teammates' laughter surrounded them the next second; when someone got stuck, the whole team gathered to work out a plan. The island weather turned from sun to rain, but nobody stopped playing. These unplanned laughs, contests and moments of catching each other created new highlights, and the atmosphere inside and outside the livestreams rose together.

Online channels and the offline beach were bound together by a real-time game mechanism. In the four family livestreams, every show of support from viewers turned into points for the team; offline, streamers earned bonus points by completing beach challenges. Support online and progress on the beach accumulated together, and once the team reached a threshold, the family could start a gacha draw for holiday perks.

The result of the draw decided what kind of island holiday the family unlocked next. From wins on the beach to every show of support in the livestream, everything connected to the next stage of the trip, so both sides of the screen truly played the same island game. With luck, a team unlocked the top-tier Yaogold experience: a seafood feast, a convertible drive around the island, and a private yacht trip with snorkelling. With less luck, they took on beach barbecues, a slow tour of the island, hiking or rainforest stream trekking. Xiao Ku Ge drew two Yaogold prizes in a row, taking both the luxury convoy and the yacht trip.

Offline, the four families fought through the beach challenges; online, thousands of viewers stayed in their channels and tensed up with every draw. Fans were no longer watching from a distance; they were part of the island story.

Usually everyone works away in their own channel. Here by the sea, the whole family stood together, and that connection became something you could touch.

There were no trophies and no investitures in those two days. But the bickering, the contests, the cooperation and the shared hardship of the four families put their team spirit on display for everyone to see.

Coastal sunset: from easy play to their own coronation

"The streamers' moment in the spotlight has finally arrived."

With the sunset covering the sea, the coastal red carpet opened on schedule, and the whole coastline became the runway. Streamers followed the lights onto the carpet for their "return to the spotlight".

A relaxed social waiting area let streamers chat and socialise before their entrance. Gauze curtains ran along the coast to form a long runway corridor; the entrance took its cue from Huya's tiger-head mark, turning the brand symbol into a minimal, light art installation. Walking under the tiger head onto the red carpet also meant walking from the familiar livestream into their own annual highlight.

There was little built scenery: layered gauze met the coastline, and the sea breeze, sunset and evening glow became the most natural set for the carpet.

The interactive stops along the carpet were not simply stacked games; they were built around each streamer and the year's content. "Can You Talk" tested their reflexes and social wit in improvised situations; "How High Can You Go" turned each streamer's revenue goal for the new year into a visual flag, with different heights standing for different targets, so each streamer set the flag by hand; and "Fun Portrait" used playful props and creative shooting to leave every streamer with a red-carpet image in their own style.

From "can you talk" to "how high do you want to go" and "what kind of highlight will you leave", every stop connected to the streamer, so the carpet was not just a walk and a photo but a personal appearance with content and expression.

As night covered the coast, the Yaogold night began

The investiture was no longer a matter of handing over a trophy. Four Yaogold goddesses in custom couture opened four chapters of honour with four character shows, so every award had its own entrance and ceremony. The annual all-star hall of honour, the annual finals top ten and the major annual awards appeared chapter by chapter, as streamers walked from their channels onto the seaside stage to be crowned in their own moment.

A year of work, companionship and creation in the livestreams received a serious response and recognition at that moment.

But this year, the expression of honour went beyond trophies on stage.

When night fully covered the Wanning coast, the sea and the sky became an endless canvas. A drone fleet rose from the water, starlight skimming the surface, and countless eyes on both sides of the screen looked up at the sky.

This was the sky investiture that belonged only to the Yaogold night. Drone formations shifted and lit the IDs of the core honoured streamers directly into the night sky, followed by a custom honour totem for each streamer during the awards. Names that had existed only in livestreams, comments and rankings broke free of the screen and rose into the island night.

At past galas, honour stayed in the trophy in hand. On this night, everyone along the coast and thousands of viewers in the livestreams looked up together to witness this highlight that belonged to the streamers. The trophy in hand, the name written into the sky, the sea and the stars as witnesses.

Closing note: in the end, the heart of a gala is people

Looking back after three days, this year's festival did feel different. The highlight of an annual gala does not have to be squeezed into one awards night. On the beach over the first two days we saw the four families as they really are, and saw team spirit pulled into one rope. On day three, the spotlight went back to them for a serious annual coronation.

Streamers were no longer just guests performing at a gala; they were the real protagonists of the whole festival. And fans' support was no longer a cold number on a ranking, but an experience the streamers felt in person on the island.

The waves will recede, but the laughter and contests on the beach, the friendship of moving forward side by side, and that stretch of Yaogold starlight under the night sky will remain an annual memory shared by streamers, families and fans.

We look forward to the next Yaogold festival, when the families gather again, carrying a year of work and passion into the next chapter of Huya's gala.
