When the amber hues of whisky meet the soul of art, a dialogue on “masterful craftsmanship” unfolds. SMS GROUP partnered with The Balvenie to present the “The Balvenie Rare Collection Appreciation Event,” crafting an uninterrupted journey of refined experiences and writing a new chapter for premium spirits at the newly opened Capella Hotel Taipei.

This marked not only the debut of The Balvenie 50-Year-Old in Taiwan, but also SMS GROUP’s profound interpretation of the power of storytelling — using strategy as the pen and detail as the ink, we transformed space, time, and culture into vessels of brand narrative, turning five decades of artisanal dedication into lasting sensory memories for guests.


从品牌精神出发,SMS GROUP 设计团队以百富 50 年包装的黄铜铁线条与象徵橡木桶的木质结构为灵感,并融合艺术家 Samuel Ross 的设计语言——象徵创新的特殊黄色颜料,打造现场极致奢华的艺术空间。每日限量一场的 VIP 晚宴,结合客製化金工手作与调酒 DIY 体验,搭配超高年份的奢华酒单以及台北嘉佩乐酒店的五星级佳餚,让百富酒厂匠人精神的故事更具沉浸式体验,成就专属百富的奢华晚宴。

Drawing inspiration from the brass wire contours of The Balvenie 50-Year-Old packaging and the wood textures symbolizing oak casks, the SMS GROUP design team infused the space with the visual language of artist Samuel Ross — including his signature shade of innovative yellow — to create an exquisitely luxurious artistic environment.

With only one exclusive VIP dinner held each day, the experience featured bespoke metalworking workshops, cocktail-making sessions, an ultra-premium whisky menu, and fine dining curated by Capella Taipei. This immersive celebration brought the craftsmanship of The Balvenie distillery to life through every curated detail.

To us, this event was more than just an exploration of spatial design and brand storytelling — it was a full-spectrum expression of luxury experience. From the precisely curated ambiance to the meticulous choice of materials and construction, every element enhanced the brand’s tangible presence. Over ten days and ten sessions, SMS GROUP demonstrated its top-tier understanding and interpretation of luxury through flawless execution and uncompromising creative delivery.
